I am really grateful for your amazing organisation. I actually thought that my coordinator would probably just give me her number in case something happened to me (because this is what friends in other countries told me), but Elpi, my coordinator, was really so amazing, took great care of me and we were able to build up a profound friendship.
The host family was also wonderful! One can notice that Openmind is a small organisation that really cares and takes its time for each student.
Thanks to you, I always felt at ease.

My host family has been so wonderfully kind to me, I have no words to express my gratitude towards them and the Openmind.
The first days were hard but now I speak almost fluently Spanish and feel right at home. Sometimes I get sad when I think about my family in Iceland – but then I just open the window in my room, breathe in the mediterranean air – and I’m filled with joy.
I’ve made lots of friends in school and the teachers have all been very kind. Valencia is an incredibly beautiful city and the weather here is always lovely.
I think I want to stay here forever!

I’m writing messages with my very good friend from Spain and suddenly I’ve started to cry, but not because of sadness, but because of gratitude for this amazing year in Spain.
I miss it so much. The Spanish food, the Spanish school, my friends, the sea, the weather and of course my host family, who I will visit in summer!
I wanted to say thank you again! It was an amazing year and I’m very happy to have taken this step. It helps me tremendously here in Germany. I’m very thankful for everything and I hope that you will be able to offer many more students such a wonderful stay!

Everything is like a dream! Our daughter is super happy with her family. They're all being very nice to her and very touchingly caring. Thank you again for having found a fantastic family for our child!!!
The coordinators Neli and Jose are also a gem. They took our daughter by the hand, and got her schoolbooks, went with her to Tennis lessons, etc. Also, here we would like to thank you very, very much.
