Julia from Germany spent a semester in Segovia and she tells us about her incredible experience as an exchange student with Openmind:
Here you will find the great report from Clelia who spent a semester in Madrid :
Charlotte from Germany sent us a motivating Feedback after her semester in Madrid:
Openmind is a great organization. I was in good hands from the day in September when I left the plane until this very moment. I love that it’s such a small and personal organization and I had the impression that you all love what you do. So thank you very much for realizing this unforgettable experience.
Hördur from Iceland is right now in Valencia and sent us this wonderful E-mail:
My host family has been so wonderfully kind to me, I have no words to express my gratitude towards them and the Openmind company. Mi host mum is one of the most kind-hearted persons I have ever met and I love spending time with my siblings.
The first days were hard but now I feel right at home and I’ve managed to enlarge my comfort-zone a lot. Sometimes I get sad when I think about my family in Iceland – but then I just open the window in my room, look over the beautiful city and breathe in the mediterranean air – and I’m instantly filled with joy.
My Spanish is also getting better and better.
I’ve made lots of friends in school and the teachers have all been very kind and understanding.
Valencia is an incredibly beautiful city and the weather here is always lovely.
I think I want to stay here forever!
Theresa from Germany wrote us this lovely E-mail – in perfect Spanish!
Kristrún from Iceland told us about her first exciting days in Madrid:
I am doing pretty good and I am really starting to like it here! María de Molina is a very good school although I don´t understand much yet… The kids are so nice and have been helping me out a lot and also the teachers have been really understanding
I am so happy with my host family. They are wonderful! I had to get used to some new traditions like eating lunch at 15:00 insted of 12:00 and dinner around 21:00-22:00 instead of 19:00!!
Madrid is beautiful and BIG. I didn’t know I could take the wrong bus or go out in a wrong place so often, haha! But I really like Villaviciosa de Odón, it’s so quiet and nice.
I am really looking forward to the next few months!
